Strengthening Community Music in Peterborough

We're proud to continue supporting children and young people in Peterborough to learn, perform and stay connected to Polish language and culture through music.

Thanks to funding from the Senate of the Republic of Poland through the "Senat Polonia 2026" programme, the Polish Music Centre in Peterborough will continue delivering its programme throughout 2026, providing high-quality music education and creative opportunities for local families.

The programme includes Melodynki music and movement sessions for young children, the Polish Music Ensemble, and Musical Theatre Classes, where children and young people develop musical skills, confidence, creativity and Polish language through singing, acting and performance.

The funding will also enable us to organise three community concerts, giving our students the opportunity to celebrate their achievements, perform for family and friends, and build confidence through live performance.

For more than ten years, the Polish Music Centre has been a place where children can develop their musical talents while strengthening their connection to Polish language, culture and community. This continued investment will help ensure that these opportunities remain accessible to families in Peterborough and continue to inspire the next generation.
