🎉 What a Weekend to Remember, Peterborough! 🎉
Our incredible Polish community in Peterborough came together to achieve something truly extraordinary: we raised nearly £8,000 for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity—that’s almost 40,000 PLN added to this incredible cause! 💛
✨ Some incredible highlights: ✅ Nearly 1,700 guests came through our doors ✅ Over 700 pierogi enjoyed ✅ 100 litres of bigos cooked to perfection ✅ More than 70kg of sausage, bacon, and pork neck served ✅ A massive 65kg of cake sold ✅ Over 300 teas and coffees served with care
🌟 The event was made even more special by our amazing guests from Poland, including: 🎤 Host Mateusz Urbaniak 🎶 Performances by Mariusz Urbaniak, Laura Bączkiewicz, and Monika Urlik ✨ A mesmerising show by a magician Bartosz Kanasta.
We also celebrated the talents of local artists, including: 🎸 Band Accidental Fortune 🎤 Tomasz Stachowiak and Beata Buczyńska 🎼 Polish Music Centre and Polish School in Peterborough 🥋 Traditional Karate Academy
🌟 We were also honoured to go live on TVP3, showcasing the passion, generosity, and unity of our community to viewers.
With team of 28 dedicated volunteers, whose hard work made this event unforgettable. The strength of our community is truly inspiring. Together, we showed that we can fix what’s broken and support those in need.
This event wasn’t just about numbers—it was about our community, passion, and unity. With plenty of mentions, radio interviews, posters, and leaflets, the Polish spirit shone brightly, proving what we can achieve when we come together.
The 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is behind us, but the journey continues. Save the date—the 34th Finale will take place on 25/01/2026. We’re ready to do it all again and make it even bigger!
